I started off my day just how I used to: getting up, lacing up my shoes, getting some water, and on the treadmill.
Today I did 2 miles in 35 minutes. I used to do 2 miles in 24 minutes on the treadmill. I’ve got room for improvement. I know I can do it. I also did a countdown workout after. 30: squats, dumbbell curls (10lb weights), side bends (holding the 10lb weights); then 20 of the same; and finally 10 of the same. This what I needed to start my day.
After while I was stretching A decided to stretch with me. She loves to do what I do so I’m trying to set a great example. We will read and do puzzles today before I have to go to work virtually. Then we will continue to read and maybe watch a documentary or two.
I’ll do all of this while contemplating what is the next move I want to make in life. I know eventually I want to be a published author. I have two books I’ve been working on sporadically. I don’t know anyone in the publishing world so I need to network to figure that out. I want to own my own bakery one of these days. That will come in time. We are also gearing up for a move to a different state in a year. I’m making preparations already. J has a year of school left but he is already doing research for companies so he can reach out to recruiters to get his foot in the door somewhere.
I need to go back to school. Thoughts I’ve had: educational leadership, MBA, sociology, or maybe history. All things I’m interested in pursuing some would be easier to do than others, but I love to learn and am always up for a challenge. We shall see what happens. I may possibly wait a year just so we can get moved. Just rambling thoughts.
