A Doctor’s Visit

I said yesterday that today would be a rest day as my calf has been giving me some issues. It has been mildly annoying pain, but going on for over a week. Got some advice from people in the medical I trust very much and have been resting, icing, compression, and elevating throughout the day for several days. No relief.

I am lucky enough to be able to just email my doctor. Thank you VA for this wonderful system you are doing great in that field. I emailed my doctor late last night because I was just over it. I woke up this morning with a reply asking further questions. By the late afternoon my doctor called and told me to make my way to the ER she would call ahead so they could get me right in. I drove the hour drive, my choice I like the hospital staff so I make the drive. It was literally the fastest trip to the ER ever! The good news NO blood clot in my leg! Then when I finally saw the doctor he told me it is probably just a strain.

I made the hour drive home elated that I don’t have a blood clot. I ate some leftover Chipolte. Adaline wants to do some “stepsing” so we are currently as I’m writing this from my phone. I am going to try wearing my shoes around the house to see if that helps alleviate the calf pain considering I have been barefoot so much being home. I will continue to monitor it.

Slow miles until I am better and feel like I can go farther and faster.
