Birthday Month

September is my second favorite month of the year. It used to be my first favorite but then A was born and her birthday is now my favorite.

This year I will be 32 and I have an entire month to live before that happens. August culminated with a donation to Operation Persistent Support and now September begins with lots of new things.

First, as I end my 31st year spinning on this place we call Earth I have decided that I will run at least 3.1 miles a day. This seems fitting with my love of running and my love of celebrating my birthday.

Second, I will be donating my miles again to a cause I find worthy and this month I will be supporting the PTA. Children and teachers need so much support and the PTA provides so much that people in the community do not even know. If you want to join in on this I ask only that you go to your local school and ask how you can support the PTA in your community.

Third, I made a list of 101 things to do in 1,001 days so I am working on tackling that. I plan to put a large dent in it this month. I have already started and today I took a step closer to completing a task. There are fun things included in the list and others that are more serious. I look forward to crossing some of those items off the big list.

Finally, I am going to continue writing. I’ll write here and I’ll write in other places. Writing brings me so much joy and I am going to continue to do it as much as I can.

I am looking forward to celebrating my birthday all month long.

Until next time,

Go for a run, do something you are passionate about, give back, be kind, be you.
